To those of you who are new to Wrapped in Love, May is a busy month. On June 13th I will be donating our first set of burial items to Carolyn Kasteleter from Angel Watch in Utah, so that she can hand them out to her clients at the time of their babies death. I will be hand delivering a blanket that I am crocheting to University of Utah on our son TJ's birthday in remembrance of our sweet boy and his agonizingly short but beautiful life here with us.
If you would like to donate items to Wrapped in Love we ask that only new items be donated. The blankets need to be white, baby pink or blue and devoid of excessive embellishments such as Disney characters etc... The burial outfits need to be white please.
As I work with Carolyn in the future I will have a better idea of what people are requesting.
If you would like to donate money to Wrapped in Love, it will be placed in a bank account in its name, and used to purchase supplies or burial outfits for the purpose of our organization.
At this time non-profit status has not been established. We are in the process of doing this and are looking for attorney's who would be willing to help us set this up as a charitable act on our behalf. We are hoping to gain 501 c 3 status soon which would make any donations to Wrapped in Love tax deductable. That is not available at this time.
Our son TJ seen in the picture to the right of the screen was born on June 13th, 2008and went into respiratory arrest soon after birth. He died a short two hours after he was born, and the pain of that moment is indescribable. Our mission is to provide comfort to those who find themselves in this painful circumstance to remove the necessity for them to have to think about what to bury their baby in when they are still trying to understand what just happened to their families.
Now I lay me down to sleep is a group that volunteers their time and takes professional photographs of these precious babies. This is how we have this beautiful picture of our son, and over one hundred other photographs of him.
We become so busy in our daily lives that it becomes very easy to lose sight of those that are suffering around us. I hope that you will consider us when you are searching for a way to provide comfort and support to those in need.
